Te Whatu Ora payment dates

Since members ratified the Nursing Pay Equity settlement and collective agreement, Te Whatu Ora has been working to implement the new rates of pay and make payments to members. However, these payments have not been made everywhere and it is now clear that in some cases aren’t planned to happen until 2024. 

The different payments and implementation dates are:

Nursing Pay Equity

  1. A (pro rata) $15,000 lump sum payment, due to be paid by the end of November.
  2. Back pay on the pay equity rates from 7 March 2022, due to be paid by the end of November.
  3. Implementing the new pay equity rates, due to be implemented within six weeks of settlement (11 September).

Collective Agreement

  1. A (pro rata) lump sum payment of $750.
  2. Back pay on the new rates from 1 April 2023.
  3. Implementing the new rates of pay.

We have been working to get information about planned implementation dates for the payments. So far Te Whatu Ora have not yet provided us with all of the information requested. Where they have there are unacceptable delays.
