Fight Back for Health

Fight Back for Health - health workers are taking a stand
Despite chronically difficult working conditions, health workers give their all for patients and whānau. But this Government has made historic attacks on our health system. They’ve proposed massive health cuts, increased private companies’ role in health care, and made staffing shortages worse.
Doctors, administrators, medical receptionists, nurses, midwives, health care assistants, radiologists, technicians, support workers, and so many more are fighting back together for a health system resourced to care for all, and look after the workers behind every surgery, immunization, and appointment.
We're sending a clear message to those in power:
- Stop the health cuts
- We call on the Government for safe staffing
- We call on the Government to respect kaimahi Māori and honour Te Tiriti o Waitangi by allowing for culturally-appropriate and mana-enhancing care
- We demand pay equity
