Hāwera stop-work meeting

Here at Hāwera Hospital we feel the continual impact of not having the resource on every shift to do our jobs as we were trained to do.  This means we need to act now.

As nurses, midwives and health care assistants working at Hāwera Hospital we see the impacts of health underfunding everyday.  We work in unsafe conditions, without the staff or resources to meet patients needs and see people and whānau fall through the widening gaps in our system with increasing frequency.  Our GPs have no capacity or ability to care for our communities.

This is not inevitable or normal, it is very much the result of political decisions.

We are fighting for a fully funded culturally appropriate public health system that meets the needs of all New Zealanders.

Join us and lets make our collective voice heard!
