Tangi Utikere is the incumbent Labour MP, Ankit Bansal is the National Party candidate, and Teanau Tuiono is the Green Party candidate for Palmerston North.

NZNO Delegates met with Tangi on 12 June, and he signed a pledge to the Maranga Mai fixes, with an outline to what he is prepared to commit to.
