Bargaining update meetings
Bargaining update meetings for PHC MECA members will be held from 23 September to 1 October.
As you know, your collective agreement is currently being renegotiated with your employers. The NZNO bargaining team have worked hard to try to progress your claims and there have been some robust discussions but we have now reached the point where progress is stalled due to the funding levels in the sector, so we need to urgently speak to members.
Please speak to your manager about releasing you to attend a meeting. We have asked the employers to ensure if you are working that you are released to attend and you will be paid for the duration of your release.
Meetings will be 1 hour long, and you should be released for a maximum of 2 hours to allow travel time.
You will only need to attend one meeting. Off-street parking is available at the venues unless otherwise noted.

Online meetings
It's important that all members who can attend an in-person member do so. This will send a message that members are serious about their negotiations.
However, if there is not a meeting that you can access within the 30 minutes travel time, there will be two online options on Friday 27 September at 10-11am and 1-2pm. The links for these meetings will be sent out separately.
